GATHER - Kirtan & Social Last Friday of the month Happy Om Studio 6.30-8 p.m This gathering is an evening of community, sacred sound vibration, mantra, kirtan chanting, and togetherness. ​  ​​The word Mantra is derived from two Sanskrit roots; manas ‘mind’ and tra meaning ‘tool’. Mantra can teach the mind to become increasingly absorbed in that which is most essential. The Upanishads tell us that mantras can lead us towards healing, inspiration, transformation & and self-realisation. "Mantra is a conversation between the self and divinity. All too often we separate ourselves from the divine, forgetting our truest nature. Chanting the names of God/Goddesses guides us back to a space of remembrance, of faith, devotion and love." ​ Kirtan - devotional, melodic call and response chanting in Sanskrit.  ​ Calling upon the sacred sound allows your body and mind to absorb its resonance.
